The Claresholm General Hospital provides palliative care to patients within the community that are unable to palliate at home. Please see your family physician for more information.

Our palliative patient rooms are private offering comfort for the patient and family. A family member is welcome to stay overnight with their loved one.
Local fundraising has funded courtesy carts that staff can bring right into the patient room for the family’s convenience. The carts are equipped with light refreshments such as coffee/tea/cookies as well as a minifridge and microwave for families to bring in, refrigerate, and reheat their own meals.
Generous donations have also allowed us to designate and specially decorate a family room for families to gather away from the palliative patient’s room with complete privacy from other public waiting areas. The private family room is furnished with a couch, stools, coffee maker, minifridge, microwave, TV and it’s own private washroom for families to use when in visiting with their loved one.
